As a Data Scientist Intern at Sertis, you will gain hands-on experience using data and machine learning to solve real-world problems. You will work alongside experienced data scientists to explore data, develop and evaluate models, and communicate your findings. Depending on the project, you may work on areas such as LLMs and agentic AI, time series forecasting, or computer vision. This internship is an opportunity to apply what you’ve learned to practical AI projects while developing your technical and collaboration skills.

In this role, you will get to:

• Explore, clean, and analyze data to understand business problems and identify useful patterns.
• Build, train, and evaluate machine learning or deep learning models for real-world use cases.
• Experiment with approaches such as LLMs and agentic AI, time series forecasting, or computer vision, depending on the project.
• Compare model results, document your experiments, and share findings and recommendations with the team.
• Collaborate with data scientists and other team members to develop practical AI solutions.

You’ll be successful if you have:

• Currently studying a Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Statistics, or a related field.
• A good foundation in Python, data analysis, and machine learning concepts.
• Hands-on experience from coursework, personal projects, research, or competitions in LLMs and agentic AI, time series forecasting, computer vision, or training machine learning and deep learning models.
• Familiar with machine learning libraries such as scikit-learn, PyTorch, or TensorFlow.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills and can work effectively with team members.
