Our Senior Business Development is more than a deal-closer, they are a trusted advisor who leads with depth, precision, and a sharp eye for what clients actually need. You will take ownership of the full solution journey: from shaping the proposal to driving implementation and ensuring long-term solution health. Solutions span a broad range of data domains, including cloud migrations, data lake & warehouse development, business intelligence/insights, and advanced analytics & AI.
In this role, you will get to:
- Own the end-to-end commercial pipeline from prospect identification and qualification through to proposal, negotiation, deal closure, and contract signing
- Lead proposal development by shaping solution approach, scope definitions, commercial pricing, and SLA agreements in close coordination with internal technical and delivery teams
- Build a deep understanding of client pain points, business priorities, and strategic goals to position the right solutions with a clear and compelling commercial case
- Build and nurture long-term trusted advisor relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders, from C-suite to working teams
- Manage the full contract lifecycle including renewals, amendments, upsell opportunities, and commercial negotiations
- Act as the primary commercial point of contact throughout the client engagement, ensuring expectations are consistently aligned and value is clearly communicated
- Collaborate closely with internal technical and delivery teams to ensure proposals are commercially sound and set up for successful execution
- Maintain a healthy and well-documented sales pipeline, providing accurate forecasts and commercial updates to senior leadership
- Identify and develop new business opportunities within existing accounts as well as net-new clients across target industries
- Track commercial risks, flag issues early, and find pragmatic win-win solutions that protect client relationships and business margins
You’ll be successful if you have:
- 4–5 years of experience in business development, technical sales, solution sales or account management in a B2B environment.
- Natural ability to lead in a client-facing environment equally comfortable engaging C-suite executives and working-team members with the same confidence and credibility
- Sharp ability to translate complex data solutions into logical business frameworks that speak directly to real decisions and real outcomes
- Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills detail-oriented and precise, with a strong instinct for what matters most
- Strong data literacy fundamentals and a genuine appetite to keep learning new data/AI concepts
- Strong presentation design skills with a structured, logical, and compelling storytelling approach
- Experience with strategy consulting and Cloud certifications are a plus!
