Overview of the job

Be a Partner-in-driving QA strategy and a key decision-maker shaping how we test, release, and grow. You’ll influence product quality at every stage, collaborate with top engineers and designers, and have a real say in when projects ship. As we scale, you can specialize in AI/Data QA or step into broader leadership as your path grows with you. If you want to set the bar for excellence and drive quality forward, this is your role.

What you’ll do

• Partner Strategically: Work closely with the Lead QA to define testing and release strategies across projects, ensuring consistent quality from ideation to production.
• Own End-to-End Quality: Design and execute test strategies, run both manual and automated testing, and act as the quality gatekeeper. You will be making release-level decisions that directly shape our product’s success.
• Build and evolve modern test automation frameworks with Pytest, Playwright, and Locust, integrated tightly into our CI/CD pipelines.
• Experiment with AI-powered QA tools (e.g., test case generation, intelligent regression detection) to stay ahead of the curve.
• Apply performance, security, and chaos testing practices to make our systems resilient under pressure.
• Mentor and Empower: Guide junior and mid-level QAs, helping them grow technically and work more effectively, strengthening our QA culture.
• Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work side by side with developers, machine learning engineers, UX/UI teams, and AI stakeholders to catch issues early and ensure smooth releases.
• Champion Continuous Improvement: Proactively explore and recommend better tools, frameworks, and best practices to elevate speed, reliability, and quality.

What we’re looking for

• Proven experience (5+ years) across both manual and automation testing, with the confidence to own quality at every stage.
• A deep understanding of end-to-end testing from functional and regression to performance and API validation.
• The ability to build automation frameworks from the ground up, choosing the right tools and practices to set us up for long-term success.
• Comfort navigating system architecture, APIs, and distributed applications, not just test scripts.
• A strategic mindset, you’ll make testing and release-readiness decisions that directly shape how and when our products ship.
• A passion for mentorship and leadership, guiding junior and mid-level QAs while raising the overall quality bar.
• Strong communication and critical thinking skills, plus the curiosity to always look for better, smarter ways of working.

Nice to have

• Experience with cloud-native testing (Docker/Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines).
• Background in performance, chaos, or security testing at scale.
• Exposure to AI/ML or data quality validation.
• Comfort building advanced automation practices (contract/property-based testing).
• Observability and monitoring mindset (Datadog, Grafana, Prometheus).
• Leadership potential: ability to influence QA culture and drive continuous improvement.
