The Role

As an experienced Senior Business Development Manager / Deal Lead, you will be responsible for end-to-end Commercial Deal Shaping: Business Case Development, requirements gathering, and leading key client commercial relationships (Account Management) over time, leading to repeat business. This is a role for closing AI and Data engagements.

To activate, you will lead cross-functionally with Sertis’ Tech, PMO, Partnership and Marketing teams, and other Andersen partner firms (selectively) to ensure output and client deliverables from the pre-sales process through to close.

Each of our Senior BDs will be assigned key accounts, and enjoin in Andersen / Sertis’ commission plan for closed business.

In this role, you will:

  • Prepare proposals, close deals, and manage key client relationships

To transact successfully, the following is required:

  • Advise and show customers how technology like data analytics or machine learning/ AI can both integrate into their business and help boost their financial results and KPIs,
  • Work with the hyperscalers and other lead generation partners to secure and manage opportunities
  • Gather preliminary requirements in the presales process, perform stakeholder analysis, and develop and communicate commercial opportunity potential internally, taking positions on triaging potential business opportunities.
  • Lead internally. cross-functionally toward the commercial development and launch of POCs or MVP implementations by guiding feature prioritization aligned to a core business plan
  • Shape deals and opportunities
  • Own the commercial relationship (Account Management) alongside working with the Solution Delivery team (PMO) responsible for technical delivery
  • Develop and manage the business relationship of key accounts

You’ll be successful if you have:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in business, marketing, computer science, or related fields, or relevant experience
  • 7+ years of BD and solution sales/closing experience in consulting, technology, or software sales domains (BD and deal closing experience in professional services firms, software houses, hyperscalers, and/or big data/AI technology project presales)
  • Solution sales experience
  • Understanding of business and context-related problems to identify and present solutions
  • Deep knowledge of Data and AI technology
  • Deal focus and commercial acumen
  • Ability to handle presale discussions in a client-facing environment; comfortable engaging with diverse stakeholders, from executives to working-team
  • Ability to take a leadership role internally and externally, present to executives at a business level, convey customer requirements into concept designs, and map business requirements to system/technical design
  • Advanced proficiency with the entire Microsoft Office Suite and G Suite, with an emphasis on word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation programs
  • Some experience in software/data project presales is preferred
  • Business level English is required, with fluence a big plus as it will open doors to work on international projects
