Zahil from Machine Learning Engineering Team, a student from the Faculty of Science, Computer Science, Kasetsart University

The primary role of the Machine Learning Engineering team is to develop AI models, making them as efficient as possible by using machine learning technology and engineering programming. The team creates and refines models to ensure that they are practical and meet the needs of various businesses.

Why did you choose to intern at Sertis?

"I applied for an internship at Sertis because they focus directly on data and AI-related work. Their frequent participation in job fairs at my university made me aware of the company and sparked my interest in Sertis."

What do you do daily, and what have you learned from the tasks?

"The tasks vary depending on the ongoing project. For example, right now, I’m deploying models to enhance machine learning performance and applying these models in real-life applications. What I've learned here is the actual business workflow, which you can't experience in the classroom. Interning here has shown me how models are used in real business scenarios."

What do you like the most about interning at Sertis?

"I love that the work I get to do has a tangible impact. There are people waiting to use our work, and it gets applied to real-world projects."

Would you recommend others to intern at Sertis?

"Definitely. Sertis is a great choice for those interested in machine learning, data, and AI. I’d also recommend doing some preparation beforehand because you’ll dive into real projects from day one."

Kwan from Business Development Team, a student from the Faculty of Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Chulalongkorn University

The Business Development team focuses on business development, including gathering and analyzing market data, finding new business opportunities, and collaborating with clients to create solutions. They primarily use research, data analysis, and presentation skills.

Why did you choose to intern at Sertis?

"My friend recommended this place to me, and I wanted to work in a company that focuses on data and AI because I find it interesting."

What do you do daily, and what have you learned from the tasks?

"I work on tasks assigned by my mentor, such as creating visualizations, brainstorming ideas, and drafting proposals. I’ve learned a lot from working on various projects with different companies, which has broadened my knowledge across diverse fields"

What do you like the most about interning at Sertis?

"I love the flexibility of the work hours here."

Would you recommend others to intern at Sertis?

"Yes, I would. Interning here has shown me how data and AI solutions can be applied across various areas and industries."

Noey: Data Analytics Team, a student from the Faculty of Commerce and Accountancy, Statistics and Data Science, Chulalongkorn University

The Data Analytics team focuses on data analysis and management, from using SQL to extract and manage databases to using R or Python for analysis and statistical development. They must have skills in statistics, probability, and the ability to present data in an easily understandable way.

Why did you choose to intern at Sertis?

"As Sertis is a data and AI solution provider, I believe I’d get to learn a lot and have the chance to work with diverse types of data."

What do you do daily, and what have you learned from the tasks?

"Initially, I participated in SQL and Power BI training. Now, I'm working on an internal project with the Talent Acquisition team. I’ve gained a lot of new skills, such as data extraction and using dashboard creation tools which I hadn’t learned before."

What do you like the most about interning at Sertis?

"I love the work-from-home option. It’s very convenient because I don’t have to commute every day. Working from home helps me stay focused."

Would you recommend others to intern at Sertis?

"Absolutely. I’ve learned a great deal. There’s a lot of data to study. The international environment also helps improve my English skills."

Ice: AI Research Team, a student from the Faculty of Engineering, Robotics and Artificial Intelligence, Chulalongkorn University

The AI Research team is perfect for those who are passionate about AI technology. The primary role is to research and experiment with new AI methods, focusing on developing and refining algorithms and models to enhance AI capabilities and efficiently apply them to various projects.

Why did you choose to intern at Sertis?

"I had rarely seen companies offering AI Research internships until I came across Sertis. After researching the company, I thought it looked impressive, so I decided to apply."

What do you do daily, and what have you learned from the tasks?

"I’m currently working on a brain decoding project. Previously, I had no prior knowledge of this, so in the first few weeks, I had to learn a lot and read many papers."

What do you like the most about interning at Sertis?

"I love my colleagues, they have been incredibly supportive. I also enjoy working in small project groups where we can discuss and ask questions easily. The international environment is also great for practicing English."

Would you recommend others to intern at Sertis?

"Yes, if you’re interested in AI, come to Sertis. Sertis is one of the few companies in Thailand specializing in this field, and everyone here is very supportive. You’ll definitely gain valuable knowledge and experience."
